Tanakrit Tongnopnua — Thai jazz pianist and educator.

Originally from Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, Tanakrit is a dedicated musician and educator with a deep passion for jazz. He earned his degree from the University of North Texas, where he developed his skills under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Dave Meder, Pat Coil, and Sergio Pamies.

In 2019, Tanakrit relocated to New York City to immerse himself in its vibrant music scene. From 2020 to 2024, he returned to Bangkok, where he performed at some of the city's premier jazz venues, including Bluebird Jazz Bar, Groovin High, and Alone Together. Currently based in Montréal, QC, Tanakrit is pursuing a Master of Music at McGill University, studying with the renowned pianist Jean-Michel Pilc.

In addition to performing at major venues in Bangkok, Tanakrit has showcased his works at some of Thailand's most distinguished music festivals, including the Thailand International Jazz Conference, Big Mountain Music Festival, Khon Kaen Jazz Festival, and Chiang Mai Street Jazz Festival.

As an educator, Tanakrit has taught at Rangsit University, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, and Bromsgrove International School. He also founded Tanakrit Talks Jazz, an online platform where he shares his passion for music with students and Thai jazz fans.
